“The fear of nakedness is the fear to be
ourselves. Nudist communities, beaches
and resorts aren’t a solution: they feature the exact negative of the
obligation to be clothed — opposite in the kind of repression, but ‘not’ really
granting freedom.” – Capoverde, http://spotnaked.com/how-facebook-changes-a-liberal-nation/4433/?utm_content=bufferbe1d5&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

“Can nudism ever be acceptable to mainstream
society? The nudist movement, whether we
label it nudism or naturism, and whether we want it to or not, is stepping into
a new historical dimension. Modern
nudists are outing themselves.
Traditional nudism is no more, and it and its supporters will remain
behind the fences and wooden walls of the 19th and 20th centuries. 21st century nudists are moving into public
spaces. . . ordinary people are confronting the current legal system and the
courts with naked facts and nude events.
The initially cynical media are beginning to report these events
increasingly more objectively.” – Richard Foley, http://pub.rfi.net/one-two-free-introduction/?utm_source=ReviveOldPost&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost
“Naturism is a way of life, respect yourself and
others, accept all body types, whether male or female, Naturism is healthy mentally,
physically, raises children with great confidence and teaches them to be happy
with who they are and how they look, something all adults should learn. We were born naked the way God made us, in
his image, its natural and normal. As we grow up we are taught to hate our
bodies, to mock others to judge people for what they look like not who they are
as people. . . The philosophy, and moral values of Naturism would fix all the
problems we have on Planet earth if it was accepted everywhere. It should be and I hope one day we can go
anywhere in public naked or clothed and I mean everywhere, living your life as
you currently do, just with the option of doing it naked, work naked, sleep
naked, go on holiday naked, this would be a great place and violence would end,
there would be more peace, more healthy looking people, more open
communication. So please support
naturism and encourage people to try it out and see that it is spiritually
liberating.” - http://simbro2012.tumblr.com/post/153593261371/the-intimacy-of-nudism?utm_content=buffer8623c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

“In many cultures, a one-piece bathing suit would be
considered scandalous; in others, bikinis—or even topless bathing— are the
norm. What is considered modest or
appropriate changes depending on culture and context. It also changes from woman to woman, depending
on body type, personality, personal convictions and season in life. While we may long for a universal dress code
that would make all of this simpler, we aren’t given one.” - Rachel Held Evans,

“I grew up in a nudist home and nudity was the norm
for us any time we were home, at our club, etc., so yes, after being nude for a
while, you stop thinking about being nude, much like you don't think about the
fact that you're wearing clothes, so I have found times where I have to remind
myself that I am nude and can't just walk out the front door that way. As for my family, growing up, my parents
would cover up when my or my sister's friends would come over, but my sister
and I weren't required to get dressed, unless we wanted to, so I have no
problem being nude when others around me aren't. It's really a non-issue for me. Now that I'm married, my in-laws have not
been thrilled about me being nude around them. . . If I come to your house and
you're not nude and don't want me nude, then I have to respect that. But in my house, you don't have to be nude,
but I hope you don't mind if I choose to be.
I'm in no way an exhibitionist.
For me, nudity is normal and very comfortable at home, and truthfully,
having to be dressed in my own home is really quite annoying.” – Krissy, https://youngnaturistsamerica.com/nudist-moms-home-nude-family-nudism-etiquette-kids/

“Family nudity and nudity in the sense of an extended
family through friends should be natural and non-problematic but that isn't the

place. . . you need to cover your butt.
If . . . you are brave enough to join in your son could grow up in a

Nudism is the ‘practice’ of not wearing clothing. Don’t read more into it than that. Nudists are people who enjoy doing things
common to daily life without wearing clothes.
They are normal people who like the feeling of the sun and wind on their
skin and the freedom to be content with themselves without shame or fear. Nudists believe that the human body is not
bad, ugly, or illegal. They enjoy being
naked when it is natural, but have common sense so don’t demand nakedness
everywhere, anytime, but only when it feels natural and practical. Nudists don't go naked to offend or
provoke. They only shed their clothes
when it’s convenient and comfortable.
They simply enjoy the world at its most natural by experiencing life naked.”

“Friday I left
Colorado for SLC and decided to drive nude down I80 across Wyoming. I took all my clothes off and kept my shirt
handy just in case. The sun was out it
felt so good on me. I have tinted
windows although they are not that dark.
I must admit it was very invigorating to be passing, and to be passed by
other cars and the semi -trucks completely in the buff. I loved it!
There was construction going on and at one point I had to drive slowly
past a flag man, which made me a bit nervous.
It was all good though and I can't wait to drive naturally again. This is my summer vacation and I have deemed
it my nude adventure. I plan on doing
some nude ATV'ing and free hiking near Zions and then with a newly met naturist
friend near Escalante.” – John

summer people expose themselves to the elements - and onlookers - on
cross-country cycling tours around Bavaria for the Nacktradler. And consider the yearly World Naked Bike Ride held in many cities.” – Kenfreehiker

on end has been killing my body (and soul).
All the yoga I’d been doing wasn’t enough to reverse the effects of the

like to be in an optimal situation: healthy natural state, fresh outdoor

“We took off from Tucson just before sunset Wednesday
and lumbered down the interstate to De Anza Naturist Resort, near Jacumba,
California. We were raised up by the

vantage point, I wanted to experience what a typical trucker might, see as he .

was that they see everything. The full
body is observed, even between the seats from behind into most cars. . .
Passing quickly, being exposed at a glance, makes a difference in what they
see. . . Most vehicles were passing us 10 to 15 mph quicker. This is a glance at best, when they are
coming up from behind, zipping past and then pass with their backs to a
trucker. A trucker’s outside rear view
mirror doesn’t give much view. . . Using this information, I can be more adept
at the practice of nude driving myself, now.
A towel to cover the genitals on occasion will take any trucker problems

“Have there been consequences for me deciding to come
‘out of the shadows’ as a nudist?
Absolutely, and most of them have been wonderful. I no longer have to live a
‘double-life’. I am no longer afraid of
who might find out that I am a nudist. . . I don’t know whether anyone else in
my church has ‘figured it out’ and is shunning me as a result, but that is
between them and God. I wasn’t part of
an ‘in-crowd’ before, so I haven’t been pushed out of anything that I know
of. I still have a good relationship with
both pastors, so that hasn’t been affected. . . I wish that I hadn’t been taught
and believed that our bodies are ‘shameful and must be kept covered’ for all
those years, because I can clearly recognize the negative effects those lies
have caused me. I have no regrets about
becoming a nudist, except that I wish I had known what I know now many years
ago. I also have no regrets for coming
‘out of the shadows’ as a nudist, because I believe that being a nudist and NOT
hiding what God created in His own image gives Him glory. . . I am naked and
unashamed in Christ!” – Steve, https://www.myclothesfreelife.com/2016/08/out-of-the-shadows/

“I was about 9 or 10 when I started to become aware
that going nude felt nice. Of course, at
that age, coupled with my family upbringing, I thought of it as naughty to want
to take off my cloths and run around naked.
My parents were quite conservative and pretty much no-nonsense kind of
people, so something like nudism was viewed with skepticism and a raised
eyebrow. No one in my family was a
nudist that I know of, nor did anyone give me the idea. . . After a while, I
just plain enjoyed the total experience of it and created a lifestyle that
included nudism. . . Finally, one afternoon I had the house all to myself. I was 11 years old at the time. I knew that nobody would be home for the rest
of the afternoon, giving me at least 4/5 hours to strip and run around the
house naked. Just the thought of it was
exciting to me. I quickly ran up to my
bedroom and took off all my cloths. . . I walked out of my room and leisurely
strolled downstairs to the living room.
The cool air sensation caressing all over my bare body, especially areas
usually covered, was a delight to my senses.
It gave me a nice tingly feeling all over. . . After a few minutes, I
found myself leisurely sprawling out on the couch, laying on the floor in front
of the TV doing summersaults, running up and down the stairs and doing just
everything I could think up to accentuate the sensation of being naked. Oh, was it a new sensation, and I just loved
it! . . . From that time on, whenever I got the chance, I’d take off all my
cloths and go naked around the house. I
did that for a while until I decided to expand my horizons and try it outside
at the ripe old age of 12. Oh, did that
open up a whole new world of sensations!
First the backyard at night, and then the woods behind the house. Finally, at 13 I told my best friend,
swearing her to secrecy. To my delight,
she was immediately intrigued and wanted to try it herself. That very day, we spent the entire afternoon
walking around and exploring the woods in our birthday suits.” – Tamara, http://iyns.net/stories.html

“I can still see why you haven’t told your friends
and, perhaps, why it may not be a good idea to tell them in the future. . .
nudity is often correlated with sexual activity, and while that isn’t always
the case – sometimes it is, and the highly sexualized world we live in does us
no favors to put sex and sexuality in its proper place. Telling others about your marital nude
lifestyle might be misunderstood, and worse yet – might cause others to stumble
(and by that I don’t mean ‘it might cause others to disapprove’), I mean others,
seeing your behavior but not understanding the sacredness of the context in
which you practice it, might decide that if you’ve said nudity is okay, it must
be okay – and then they practice it in in a way which does violate marital
intimacy or sexual holiness. So: maybe
they don’t need to know. Because telling
them wouldn’t necessarily build them up, help them, strengthen community etc…
it might just be confusing.” - Bronwyn

“I was hiking up a trail yesterday, completely naked
except for my hiking boots and a baseball cap, and I thought how in all the
years that I have been busy being, hiking, swimming, and driving naked, that I
had never seen another person of a similar inclination. . . I love to hike
naked and I hike several times a week in the summer and occasionally, in
winter. (I live in northern Utah).” – Bill Bill
“Being clothed at a naturist resort wouldn’t be
appropriate.” – Jack Gescheidt, http://www.unitedmags.com/dispatches-california
“This summer on
a hot day, after work, the wife and I were cooling off and going for a nude
swim in our above ground pool right behind our house and next to our drive way,
when the UPS Truck came pulling into the driveway way too fast for us to get
swim suits on. Turns out it was an UPS
Lady and she jumped out of the truck and started walking towards is and said
that looks like fun, I wish that I could join you. . . I think it is fun to get
caught, they can join in.” – 2hangfree, https://www.truenudists.com/group/everyday-naked-living-revamped/2/108091/

Black Canyon Freehike and Beyond
Yesterday was the planned Black Canyon Trail freehike. We expected seven participants, but many
things changed - some got sick and some forgot (I guess). In any case, I carnuded about an hour south
to the New River exit. Only two others
showed up, and they could only go for a short hike.
We drove to the Black Canyon Trail area and found it
too busy, so decided to try Badger Springs.
When we arrived at that trailhead
we found dozens of cars. Oh well, there
wasn’t time to try another option, so we hiked down to the petroglyphs and
river, before returning to the car.
One woman went shirtless most of the way, and I wore only
my kilt (which I occasionally removed).
While actually freehiking back a textile couple suddenly appeared. I commented that I hoped our nakedness wasn’t
offensive. The clothed lady said of
course not. She had raised kids.
After returning, we split up to drive back. Since it was still early, I took the
opportunity to drive up the Bloody Basin road for about four miles and took a
short freehike. It was pretty barren,
but the freehiking was very nice.
Then I carnuded home.
It’s always nice to just get out of the car and go inside in my natural
state!
I went inside to talk with Amy who was feeling better, sitting naked in her comfortable chair. Earlier she enjoyed sunbathing in our spa area.
I then spent and hour cleaning up our Nature and Meditation Trail. Being naked outside is so very wonderful.
