“. . . [I] am new to this naturist lifestyle and some of my friends and family are having trouble . . . especially . . . [when] I share nude pictures of myself . . . My ‘best’ friend gave up on our friendship when she found out that I was naturist and made pictures of it.  She . . . was afraid my pictures would be used for other things. . . I couldn’t convince her that this lifestyle really made me happy. . . I’m not gonna change for them.  I’m happy with the life I’m living and that includes photos. . . QUOTES 4/29/2020

“. . . the Koran is pretty clear that people must dress modestly, and any exposure of the genitals is right out.  Even a man seeing another man in a shower room is forbidden.  Women especially must guard their ‘beauty’ lest they go around tempting men into sin.  While these rules might have seemed sensible in a nomadic desert culture hundreds of years ago, in our modern world, they simply do not apply. . . Rape is common in all cultures, but only in Islamic countries do the women take the blame for it; this is what results from treating the female body as an object of temptation.” – Nick Alimonos, https://writersdisease.net/2013/07/19/the-missing-surah-nudity-in-islam/

“3 Intermediate Hip Opener Sequence Trailer” Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXPMEaIB51k

“Naturists are people willing be nude at appropriate times in order to ‘eliminate inappropriate behaviors’ such as exhibitionism, pornography, and masturbation.  It may not be good for everyone, but God will lead those who desire to escape these behaviors to naturism.  That’s what He did for me; and who am I to reject God’s guidance in this matter.  It is God who leads people to naturism to fix things about their lives.  How can that be bad?” - Kensunwalker

“. . . many times during my early age I . . . [saw] my mom naked while taking shower. . . I used to take off clothes at night, though my younger sister would sleep in same room.  Later I would walk . . . [around] the house when parents were out.  Never cared if my sis was around. . . I had to stay in hostel.  There I was free.  No clothes at night.  After marriage me and my husband decided to stay naked at home.  Now I have two daughters, 7 and 3, but still we prefer not to wear clothes. . . If I am not going to teach my daughters about nudity . . . they would certainly get right or wrong idea from outside.” – Modeve, http://offbeathome.com/parent-nudity-in-house/

“Many forms of dress are widely regarded as deserving of respect because the person wearing them had to go through a ‘trial’ and prove their devotion to a cause.  Can we now say the same thing about the many forms of undress?  Have we not also gone through a trial and strove to make statements about our devotion to a cause?  I suggest we may have more labels and attitudes towards those who undress than those who adopt a uniform and work to prove they ‘own’ it.” - http://centauri4-naturism.tumblr.com/post/143005229331/centauri4-naturism-ramblingtaz-naked-in

Mingus Mountain Group Freehike

On Monday, 4/27/2020, six NNAZ members met for a group freehike on the Mingus Mountain trail.  This is one of the finest single-track freehiking trails in the state.  We left our clothes at the traditional rock cliff near the beginning of the trail and walked without any backup.  Beautiful scenery surrounded us – broadleaf and evergreen trees providing shade – fantastic rock formations.  And best of all the enjoyment of walking naked and talking with others.  Too soon we dressed and returned to the cars.  As always, it was a great to spend the day together naked in nature.

QUOTES 4/28/2020

“When I lived in Alabama there was a spring fed creek in the woods where someone made a rock dam.  Even in the summer the swimming hole was cold.  When I’m having a stressful day I often think about my happy naked spot.  I love skinny dipping.” – Skyclad83, https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=85262&page=1

“World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) London 2017” (Video) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocTHbVx9Cik

Working out nude is . . . a pleasant and thrilling experience that makes your workout sessions more enjoyable.  [It] also gets rid of restrictive clothing that usually gets in the way of your workout routines.  It also exposes your skin to the fresh air, which allows it to breathe and maximizes the excretion of toxins that are released through sweat.  Some of the best exercises that you should try while naked include yoga, aerobics, jogging, and weight lifting.” - http://blog.vritomartis.com/top-18-things-to-do-naked/

“For the male Free Hiker, it is often suggested they carry a bandana or wear a hat and be prepared to cover the genitals as a courtesy should anyone express offense at the nudity.  Courtesy covering does not take away anything from the enjoyment of the outdoor nude experience and MAY very well serve as an ice-breaker or conversation starter when meeting others on the trail.  A civilized and graceful approach might be: ‘Good day!’ and ‘Yes, I hike without clothing as a matter of routine custom and if with your consent I would (or will) lower my bandana or return my hat to my head.’ concluding with, “A simple yes or no is all that need be said.” . . . Free Hiking remains a minority activity.  The more it is mentioned and the more first-timers who try it, I feel acceptance of it will grow.”

“I grew up in a nude home that supported nudism and family nudity.  It was only natural that my husband and I also practice family nudism.  When in private, we and our children refrain from wearing clothing in our house and secluded garden.  We’ve chosen a home that is away from others, allowing us to express ourselves in our own way.  Family Nudism is one form of expression for us.  Just as others choose certain clothing to wear, we, in our family, simply choose to wear none. . . Nudity, in many ways, has brought us all closer together.  As a family, we respect the rights and wishes of others as well as most social norms.  If company comes to call, such as other children from our kid’s school, or when we go out in public, everyone is dressed.  However, as soon as privacy is restored, we are all quick to shed any covering and poof – back to being the naked family again. . . We simply enjoy being nude and believe that there is nothing wrong with being in our natural state as we go about our daily lives.” - https://youngnaturistsamerica.com/is-family-nudity-and-naturism-nudism-really-good-for-children/

QUOTES 4/27/2020

“Lake Albert Light house” (Video) - https://vimeo.com/25177310

“. . . there’s something more insidious going on.  It’s not just that we, as a society, as producers and consumers of media, and as networks of individuals, are shaming those bodies which are not perfectly toned and fabulously styled: we are waging war on ALL bodies.  We are attempting to erase the body (the sensuous, moving, functioning, glorious body) from existence. . . [when people] make jokes and implicitly denigrate nude beaches and naturism – which, by the way, they (like the rest of the public) are in no way obligated to participate in or attend – it is symptomatic of a culture that has reduced the natural body . . . to an object of disgust.” - https://lucialorenzi.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/laying-it-bare-nude-beaches-broadcasters-and-body-shaming/

“Growing numbers of people getting the urge to strip naked and walk around in only their birthday suit . . . Throwing off the shackles of society by striding around with the sun on your bare skin is a primeval sensation which up to four million people enjoy - or wish they could . . . But it most definitely is not a passion shared by all, meaning there is plenty of room for serious misunderstandings between nudists and non-nudists. . . So a legitimate nudist runs the risk of being caught with their pants down and facing the prospect of explaining their hobby to a judge.” - Andrew Welch, http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/uk-nudism-naturism-rules-etiquette-490511#.UeRMGvQM2wk.wordpress

“It’s not considered a sin to be seen by your doctor without clothes.  It’s not considered a sin to be seen by your nurse without clothes. . . It’s not considered a sin to see a baby naked.  It’s not considered a sin for young siblings to see each other naked.  It’s not considered a sin for parents to see their children naked.  It’s not considered a sin for young children to see their parents naked, for example at bath time, etc.  It’s not considered a sin for adults to see their aging parents naked when necessary for personal hygiene reasons.  So if it’s okay to see our children naked and our parents naked then could someone give me specific dates and age ranges when it’s not okay, or is the body just that, a body and not something to be ashamed of?” - https://www.truenudists.com/members/blogs/
