“While I think that those who can and will share photos do much to enhance the image and dispel negative perceptions of the nudist lifestyle, it is important to recognize that some people are unable to do so.  I was in a profession in which such photos would have caused severe professional repercussions to myself and the credibility of my employer.  I had to stick with legal nudist activities and not expose (no pun intended) myself to indiscreet people.  This included the avoidance of cameras and not posting photographs. . . Another thing I would hate to see happen to anyone, is to have family and friends find out third hand or before the person is ready to reveal a nudist lifestyle.” – Anabasis

Saturday Get Together

This past Saturday (6/22/2019), four NAZZ friends got together at Ken and Amy's place to share a naked lunch and enjoy talking, soaking, and games.  It's always enjoyable meeting with friends.

Maybe you can attend our next event.  July 4th we'll meet to cook hot dogs and marsh mellows and watch the fireworks.  (All naked of course.)  Let me know if you can attend and I'll send details.

Nakedness alone is valuable and often spiritual, but social nakedness is an important aspect of naturism - being with others who are like-minded.  That's why we invite others to become naked friends, and naked friends are often the best friends.

Do you have naked friends?

Have you ever introduced someone to naturism?

“[I have] . . . done security work for over 30 years and found some jobs [with] a chance to go nude . . . [I] worked a night shift for about 3 years at a factory making batches of juice up for the production lines.  I worked with my wife and no one else and most nights I would work in the nude as the work could be hot and [I] found it comfortable.  I suppose the company may have wondered how come my overalls hardly ever got dirty, but over the years I have had many jobs that I could work naked as [I] usually worked alone or with wife. . . I did have a night job in a warehouse - me and another guy . . . one hot night I jokingly said [we] should work naked [to] be cooler . . . he says yeah ok, and stripped off, so I did too and [we] worked naked together for about a year.” – Shaved

I love naked sports.  Amy and I had a conversation about what we'd enjoy doing naked.  Sky diving and bungee jumping and rock climbing seemed to be too much for us.  But there are so many others sports that we'd enjoy.

We enjoy lawn games like corn toss and croquet.  Naked swimming is wonderful!  I'm not sure it's a sport, but we frequently freehike together.

We're maybe too old for some naked sports, but are certainly open to try.  Any suggestions?

How about you; what naked sports do you enjoy or want to try?

“Who are nudists?  Nudists come from every walk of life.  Nudists are all ages, from babies to the very elderly.  Nudists come in all sizes, shapes, and colors.  Nudists are normal people.  There are fat nudists and thin nudists.  There are people with scars, people in wheelchairs, and people who’ve had mastectomies or lost limbs.  There are lots of seniors at my favorite nudist resort – they’ve retired and live there.  There are families.  There are children of all ages for whom nudity is natural.  There are some amazingly self-assured teenagers who relate with each other without all of the sexual overtones and anxiety that you often see in teenagers.  These are kids who accept their bodies in ways that few non-nudist teenagers are able to do.  And kids who have realistic ideas of what normal human bodies look like.  I imagine that there are fewer nudists with eating disorders than the rest of the general population.  There are very few people at nudist resorts – or in life – who have conventionally ‘perfect’ bodies.  In fact, nudism is a great equalizer.  We’re all just human.” - Kathy Barron, http://www.aanr.com/blog/kathy-barron-let-me-tell-you-a-little-about-nudism/

“I am not here to argue that anyone suffering from a traumatic experience need only go to a nudist farm and they will be miraculously healed.  I can only speak for my experience. . . let me say that I have never been so sexually ignored in my entire life as I was for the two weeks that I was naked. . . no one stared at my breasts.  No one grabbed my ass.  No one licked their lips, called my baby, told me to smile, to fix my hair, be better, look prettier, or to come home with them. . . So here I was.  A young, naked woman sitting right within the grasp of upward of 20 naked men at a time in the heartland of America, and I have never felt so respected in my entire life. . . I wasn’t hiding myself.  I wasn’t some woman walking down the street that random men tried to undress with their eyes.  Here, I was already undressed.  I stopped worrying that at any moment the men around me would suddenly lose control, pop a boner, and attack me.  After all, that’s what society has been telling young women for decades – that men can’t control their bodily urges so we as women need to compensate for that and act accordingly. . . Lo and behold, these magical male specimens were able to sit, eat, play volleyball, dance, drink and canoe with a naked young woman, all without turning into a rapist.” – Sara Bensinger, http://www.xojane.com/fun/6-things-i-learned-while-being-naked-for-2-weeks

“If you are looking for a naturist holiday, then Italy is where you should go!  In a country where naturists make up about 23 percent of the population, . . . Although a devout Catholic country, Italy has fully accepted the concept of nudism and naturism tourism.  As such Italians no longer recoil at the sight of a nudist gathering!  They no longer see nudism as a sexual act, but as a way of living, comparable to vegetarianism, perhaps.  While most beaches in Italy are topless beaches, there are some which entertain nudity. . . In a 2006 law, Italy designated certain beaches as places where nudity is legal.  The law requires that such beaches have signs stating that they are nude beaches.  Therefore, avoid going nude on a public, overcrowded beach if you do not want to pay fines . . . This is because going naked isn’t necessarily the norm in Italy; it is exclusive.” - http://spotnaked.com/naturism-nudism-in-italy/5710/

“Pedophilia is not caused by images – Pedophilia is a disorder that, in part, causes those afflicted to seek out imagery of children.  However, pedophiles existed long before photographic equipment was invented.  Their disease is what causes them to seek out children whether in image form or in person.  Nude images of children are not the problem.  Pedophiles get arousal from any images of children.  They are aroused even by what is clinically called ‘neutral’ imagery.  However, even if we managed to get rid of all images of children (dressed or not) we would not reduce the number of pedophiles.  The disease would still exist and they would find other ways to fulfil their desires.  We must punish the perpetrator not the victim.  As a society, we must be careful not to cause harm to the victims in our attempts to protect them.  In the case of pedophilia and child pornography it is important to remember that it is the pedophile who is the criminal.  If we cause parents and children to become afraid of the human form, we will only succeed in causing psychological distress without stopping the pedophile. . . there is no question that child pornography where children are abused is intolerable and should be stopped whenever it is found.  However, it is important to understand that the problem is the pedophile.  If we stop the pedophile we will automatically stop child pornography.” - http://www.bareoaks.ca/index.php/en/about-naturism/children.html

“. . . there is no ‘normal’ body type, that certain body types are not ‘sexier’ or ‘more beautiful’ than others.  This was a randomly selected group of women and the photos show that there are so many variations to body shape and size—not just the small selection of images that we regularly see presented to us through the media.  Each one of them is unique and beautiful in their own special way—yes, they may seem similar to others, yet they are completely incomparable.  No two are the same.  We are, each of us, exquisite and unique.  Bodies should be celebrated, it’s time we worshipped them and appreciated all that they do for us, understanding that it’s all our tiny imperfections that make us so entirely unique in the world.  Who we are is found on the inside.  As the vehicles that transport us, our bodies are meant to be adored in full form.  In my personal opinion, it would be great if people realized that their negative comments or judgements towards people who they feel do not ‘fit’ their perceived image of perfection say more about themselves than about the person they are directed to.” - Alex Sandra Myles, http://www.elephantjournal.com/2015/03/your-body-aint-wrong-girlfriend-67-untouched-nude-photos/
