“I think it's a great equalizer when we're all nude . . . You cannot be judged by the quality or name-brand clothes.  You don't know who is a doctor or who is a postal worker when you're naked.  We're all just human beings.” – Beebs, http://mic.com/articles/124242/6-reasons-you-love-being-naked-from-the-people-who-do-it-24-7?utm_content=bufferd269b&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer#.qIWB7KIJz

“I initially drove to Broomsfleet in East Yorkshire . . . The drive was just under three hours and was, naturally, done naked.  In the warm weather I doubt if I even attracted any second glances from other drivers . . . As is my usual practice when driving naked, I sat on my wrap so that I could drape it across my lap if required . . . I was getting used to driving naked and my initial hesitancy was wearing off as experience confirmed what I already knew at an intellectual level; no one was likely to notice I was naked and if they did it was unlikely they would care, let alone do anything about it.” – Milfmog, http://freerangenaturism.com/forum/index.php?topic=833.0;topicseen

“Living at a nudist resort (Shangri La Ranch in Arizona), being without clothes becomes so natural that it’s hard to even think about what to write to describe everyday life. Still, I want to share our naturist life in hopes that some are helped.  On Sept, 18, 2011, I spent a week building a shed so I could move the rest of our stuff out of an expensive storage area - a week measuring, sawing, hammering, etc.  It was hard work, but doing it nude made it much easier.” - Kenfreehiker

“Poor nude body, being used and abused by advertising to incite us to do their bidding (buy now, now, now, now) while rejecting it from our homes and refusing to appreciate it for beauty or authenticity, alone.  Perhaps what we should do, rather than rebuking the body and living in a form of self-loathing, censoring denial, is claim back the body bared.” – Anabela Rea, http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/home-property/91222346/when-is-a-nude-artwork-too- rude

“Life is better savored without clothes.”

“At sunset, we wander up to the drum circle on the hill above. . . The ruins of a concrete water tank looks like something more, something sacred.  Around its circle sits the drummers.  There are three of those Native American drums that explode with that wonderful bass tone. . . We wander around naked through the creosote covered hilltop, dancing as we stroll, gazing across the vistas.  More revelers arrive, many take to a more energetic style of dance, arms stretched out, gyrating, some spinning, some dressed, some naked.  One couple strips in joy as they smile and dance.  All around us, the sunset lighting highlights the natural forms. . . the moon has popped up.  It is huge at the horizon and a dazzling silver white.  The place has a spiritual high and a sense of blessings as we celebrate . . . The full moon illuminates everything.  There is a fire near the edge by the boathouse backdrop.  There sits a gathering with a ukulele and a guitar.  Two feminine voices entertain.  The sweat music drifts across the waters.  People show up more and more, until I count 23 nudes in the hot tube area, many talking in relaxing comfort, some simply showing moonlit faces, eyes closed in peace.” – Jbee, https://thefreerangenaturist.org/2017/03/15/visiting-the-cold-springs/

“. . . my sister in law and her husband became caretakers of a gold mine . . . Situated on a river below Reno Nevada . . . One day I decided to hike to the actual mine site . . . The sound of the river, the birds, the forest, no clothes - it doesn't get any better - it was a pioneer experience - a week of bare hiking and bare living.  I did great gold panning . . . even better . . . naked. . . I have been to resorts with my wife, but it is the call of the Wild to walk and hike in creation, to . . . leave no trace. . . I am drawn to.  It is breathing and feeling the power of nature as it penetrates my senses.  Enjoy your days my friends; they won’t come again. - Naken

“Surrounded by five women over the age of 50, we gossiped about everything from families to nudity, sex-life and death.  These women were from different backgrounds, ethnicities and states, but they all had one story in common – revival.  Each woman had done the whole Stepford wife routine, gone through raising kids and maybe a marriage or two.  But all of the women had ended up here, alone, gossiping naked with a beer in hand.  And they had never been happier in their entire lives. . . [I thought] Getting older was simply a slow death march into the grave – leaving pieces of your healthy self behind as you aged.  A good knee here, a working vagina there.  And then I met these ladies.  The nudist lifestyle, they explained, had helped them rediscover their confidence.  It showed them that counting the number of lines on their face or the amount of rolls on their stomach did not equal a happy and fulfilling sex life.  Life experience did.” – Sara Bensinger, http://www.xojane.com/fun/6-things-i-learned-while-being-naked-for-2-weeks

“I began sleeping naked. . . I don’t think I’ll ever go back to pajamas.  No seam marks, no itching or adjusting.  It’s amazing.” – Sarah Biverson, http://www.elephantjournal.com/2015/11/how-3-experiences-helped-me-stop-my-body-shaming-start-loving-my-naked-self/

“’What is OBSCENE?’ . . . The mainstream media has no problem showing blood-soaked streets, security cams of the Paris Attack, etc.  Nobody freaks out because that's ‘journalism.’  But show one nipple, a little too much cleavage, a camel toe, or an outline of a semi-erect penis and the space-time continuum is instantly disrupted, and the ‘Moral Minority’ raises 50 Shades of Hell over a natural thing.  Obscenity is in the eye of the beholder, pure and simple.” – Scott, Tom Pine Newdesletter, 17 #1

“Even though it's turned cold, I heat up the garage and work on projects nude most of the time.  In the garage I am working on shelving and going through things so I can get the wife’s car in.  Also have some bird feeders to finish so I can get them put away.  I'm doing some wine bottle candles in the basement so that is easily nude.” – Sunnmaxx, https://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=38234&page=1

Exploring Saguaro Canyon

Monday (1/27/2020), Amy and I enjoyed exploring the area east along Table Mesa road (just south of Black Canyon City).  We didn’t get far past the ranch on the right when we were stopped by a river crossing the road.  Along the river were beautifully decorated cliffs.  We took a few photos and Amy got naked (just in time for a truck to drive past).  We stopped at a dirt turnoff a few hundred yards back and went for a hike – soon a freehike.  Saguaros filled the mouth of the canyon.  The temperature was just right for naked walking in January. The dirt road was rough and soon stopped at a fire ring where there was evidence of shooters.  Then a lightly used trail took off along the rocky wash.   The canyon progressed slightly up hill with several wonderful view areas along the ridge line on the left.  I climbed a hill for a few scenic views/photos.  It was totally quiet.  We saw many birds, including a Cardinal.  It was moderately difficult, mostly due to the rocks and lack of a path.  Too soon we returned and put on clothes, but before we took off a grumpy-looking man on an AVT drove past.  Oh well, we were about to leave anyway.  We drove to Anthem for a taco/burrito, and then returned home.  We probably won't make this a group freehike because it was on Arizona School Trust land, which requires a permit.  But it was wonderful to do things together naked and clothed!

“In our society, where nudity is very rare, the information content of being naked is therefore usually quite large.  And so any laws that exist against nudity actually deprive people of the ability to exchange measurably large quantities of something – information.  In other words, anti-nudity laws amount to confiscation by the government of a valuable commodity.” - https://naturistphilosopher.wordpress.com/2014/01/03/the-information-content-of-nudity/

“Well, Naked Gardening Day came and went and I did not garden naked because it was too darned cold in Tennessee.  Then again, I've been gardening naked since April, so missing it Saturday was no big deal.” – Mary Mannon Reeves, https://www.facebook.com/groups/nuddism/

“It’s hard to predict how any visitor will react . . . You could just approach them nude and then put something on if they appear to be uncomfortable.  If you know the person approaching is uncomfortable with it, then you could go and fetch something to put on, asking them to wait while you go grab something.  They can always look away for the time being.  That would seem less awkward than the ‘run and hide,’ which I can imagine also resulting in paranoia, where you’d constantly feel like you have to be on guard, on your own property. And it gives the impression that you’re doing something wrong / shameful, which you’ re not, as there’s nothing wrong with hanging out naked at home.  If you act calm and casual about it, then that will help show them that it’s not a big deal.  You can tell them you just like to be nude because it’s more comfortable.” – Felicity Jones, https://youngnaturistsamerica.com/home-nudist-etiquette-visitors/

“Being uncomfortable with nudity is not a natural human condition – it is a social artifact. . . wearing clothes all the time is historically and culturally bound.  A person (children are people too) who is accustomed to seeing the body as normal and not something secret or to be hidden is less likely to feel uncomfortable about bodies” – Emily, http://offbeathome.com/parent-nudity-in-house/

“Besides running around the house nekkid as a little girl, my first experience was alone with my husband (then boyfriend).  At the time, the Nintendo Wii was all the craze, so we'd usually get together and play that.  This was at his house at the time and his family were much more nudist friendly than mine are.  Because of that it was also the place where I eventually had my first more social nude experience.” – Megan, http://www.nudelife.org/showthread.php?tid=11

“Naturism is a philosophy which seeks wellness and wholeness.  Perhaps the very antithesis of naturism is violence. . . nudity is usually associated with beauty.  Nakedness has a strong association with shame, vulnerability, and weakness, whereas nudity connotes intention, confidence, and an appreciation for one’s own worth.” - http://artdayonline.org/dailyart_201602/

“A few years ago I was at a public beach and I went into the men’s shower room to shower and change before going home.  After I came out of the shower I was standing in the common area of the shower room toweling off and a man was holding up a towel shielding me from his children’s view, both of who were boys, and he said in a very cross manner ‘Do you mind, there are children in here!’, to which I replied, ‘no, I don't mind that they are here at all!’ and continued on as I was.  He ‘hurumphed’ and hurried his kids out of the shower room so they would not be forced to see a naked person in the shower.  It was all very crazy.  I still can't understand what he thought was going to happen if his boys saw a naked person in the shower room.” - Eagle59
