Exploring Two Palms Wash

Monday (1/6/2020), two couples enjoyed freehiking and exploring Two Palms Wash.  Two Palms Wash is just a few miles west into the desert from Table Mesa Exit so it is just the right temperature to freehike in winter.  Most of the road is dirt, but easy to travel in cars and trucks.  Plenty of parking is available at the mouth of the wash.  Basalt slick rock ledges at the mouth of the wash keeps all but the most adventurist vehicles out.  Further up, the wash has nice cliffs on both sides, beautiful old acacia tress, and two palms.  The wash is only slightly up hill and sandy with some smaller rocks; it is an easy walk.  There are places along the way for those less able to sit and rest.  This is a nice hike for everyone.  There are even pools in the rocks at the beginning of the wash to soak your tired feet after hiking.
