Naturist View

  1. My wife and I are currently doing this. Here's the issue... nobody knows that we are naturists and soon our toddler is going to be old enough to tell people. We are Christians and see no conflict but we are pretty sure most other people in the church haven't put much thought into it and will have a knee-jerk response that won't be positive. what to do?

    1. I have been very active in several Christen faiths and to be true to myself am of course a naturist at home and with others. This right for me! But I've found using the Bible to prove my views to others essentially useless. My experience is it depends on the religion. Some will make it difficult for you to participate fully. (If you can't participate fully, you must hide your true self, so why continue attending? With some it depends on the minister's background and opinions. Some religions are more open so it's better explain your behaviors and beliefs whenever possible so people aren't surprised. Worst case, find the right church for you. If it's not too personal, to what religion do you follow?

    2. The church that my wife and I attend is not the same denomination as we are because we would have to go to phoenix to find one of our particular flavor. We would call ourselves Anabaptist. It's a relatively small branch of Christianity that takes Jesus' teachings of peace and enemy-love seriously. Essentially, we are orthodox, bible believing Christians but those terms probably conjure up unintended images because most of the modern, western church has forgotten that Christianity is an ancient, near-eastern religion rather than a modern, western one. You could call the church we attend non-denominational or baptist. Unity is important to my wife and I. We don't divide fellowship if possible.
