You missed it? Ten
freehikers, two ladies and eight men, enjoyed the wonderful weather Monday
(3/12/2018) as they gathered to hike naked near Sycamore Creek. Undressing at the cars, they hiked naked along an
easy dirt road, experiencing beautiful views of the surrounding reddish hills with
the green river below ancient black-lava cliffs. The fir trees and brush along the way complemented the
walk. Three mule deer ran along the
nearby ridge. A Red-Tailed Hawk sailed through the sky. The group remained naked
and unashamed as they waved to a surprised older couple who passed in a
4-wheeler. A tourist passenger train
passed below as they descended to the river.
At the camp some skinny-dipped in the river, others enjoyed a rope swing,
and many simply conversed in total nakedness.
Except for passing and greeting two ladies in cars near the end of the
freehike who owned a nearby ranch, one in a cowgirl hat, the naked return was uneventful. Way too soon, the friendly freehikers dressed back at the cars and
enjoyed some final conversation before driving home – the end of an amazingly
enjoyable and relaxing, really other-worldly group freehike. So, if you missed it, you missed something truly
memorable!
NAZ (Naturists of Northern
Arizona) hold a group freehike the second Monday of each month. The 2nd Monday of next month (April) we’ll freehike to Verde
Hot Springs and enjoy the friendship of naked soaking. (It’s about a mile freehike along flat ground;
we’ll wade across a river getting there.)
Don’t miss this wonderful naked hike.
By the way, how will we ever be able to introduce natural, naked
living if we are ashamed to be seen by others? We won't. The solution is to
live naked and unashamed whenever and wherever possible, until we unconsciously learn to enjoy our natural
selves every day, not paying attention to unknowing, prudish individuals. Everyone has a body. Why be ashamed of who we are?
