“. . . naked parties have been a Yale tradition since
the late 1990s, when the idea was poached from nearby Brown University. Naked parties now occupy a place in the large
pantheon of ways in which Yale students avoid their homework. They happen several times a year . . . For
those who have never gone to one, the idea of a naked party raises certain
questions. Is the event sexualized, or
decadent, or outright obscene . . .? The
truth of the matter is that these garb-less festivities are about as debauched
as your average bingo night - and about as carefully organized.” - Presca A.
“On Thursday, June 30, 2011, I took my first
‘official’ Skinny Road Trip. It was fun
and exhilarating. It started from my
apartment in Las Cruces, NM. Within a
few blocks I was nude. Nude driving feels so nice – the sun shining through the
windows and the cool air blowing across my naked body. A Skinny Road Trip is
the reverse of driving clothed to a naturist venue. You drive nude, and put clothes on as needed
to visit the sights along the way. A
Skinny Road Trip is more about traveling and sightseeing and socializing in
naked comfort than any destination. It’s
not about exhibitionism. Naturists
really don’t think about being nude while traveling; it just feels natural the
way life is supposed to be - great! I
visited and freehiked in White Sands.
After a fun day and a half tank of gas, we returned to our apartment and
undressed - the end of the first of many wonderful Skinny Road Trips.” –

“When I was assigned to Vandenberg AFB, my wife and I
found the nude beach at Gaviota. Almost
all the people there were military from Vandenberg and a healthy portion of
those were from my own squadron. We had
the highest espirit de corps of all the squadrons on base. We were really tightly knit and well
adjusted. For my wife and I it is so
normal now that we can't imagine not being nude whenever we can be at Black's
Beach or DeAnza Springs Resort.” - Pat P., Jacumba, California, https://www.aanr.com/veterans-and-nudism
“It’s a Mad-Hatter house party . . . Everyone bring an
interesting hat to wear – and nothing else!” - https://twitter.com/AANRMW/status/971446605055393792
“I believe that humans were
meant to live in the nude when it is safe and practical to do so. Many naturists/nudists state that it is the
most relaxing feeling possible. Just shedding one's clothing creates a much more stress-free
environment. In our stressful world,
that is both important and healthy.” – Beverly Price, http://www.nudistwedding.org/nudistweddingorg-blog/american-association-for-nude-recreation-social-family-nudism-in-appropriate-places-our-interview-with-american-association-for-nude-recreation-president-beverly-b-price
