MINGUS MOUNTAIN FREEHIKE

Four naked folk freehiked the Mingus Mountain trail today (6/11/2018).  We first crossed the road and walked a few hundred yards to the cliffs where we left our clothes.  (So few people use this trail that we always hike without textile back-up.)  The weather was fantastic, almost too warm, but being naked certainly helped.  The trail is easy to moderate, single track, sloping up hill.  Many pine and spruce tees provide shade along the way.  After about a ½ mile we stopped at the log circle that I built a few years ago, rested, and talked, then returned.  On our return we noticed many New Mexico Locust blooming - beautiful, but covered in spines.  Soon we arrived back at the clothes rock and dressed for our return home.  As always, the freehiking was wonderful.  Hopefully you’ll be about to join us next time.
