“Spending time with my own naked body helps remind me
that it is my body. It belongs to no one
but me. Its purpose is not to be put on
display to please other people or to be controlled by anyone else in any
way. When so many people are telling you
what to do with your body it’s easy to feel like it isn’t yours.” – Alexandra

Nude at Big Sur . . . We grabbed our towels and cooler
and started to the beach when our neighbors asked us to wait for them as they
had never been there before and did not want to wander into the wrong area and
cause an issue about being topless. . . Two of our neighbors immediately
dropped their bikini bottoms and continued as though perfectly natural. Hey, if this works for them, off comes
mine. I was so excited I did not notice
that my BF was also naked. On the beach,
totally naked and feeling the greatest feeling of freedom. As the sun was setting, we all headed back to
camp. We girls put on the bottoms of our
bikinis but never bothered with our tops.
By the time we were nearing our campsite, we noticed the camp was almost
full and yet no one said a word about us being topless. My BF and our neighbors pretty much spent the
weekend together and around camp . . . Nude on the beach Saturday and Sunday
and it was about a 50/50 mix of people nude and clothed but there were no
problems. I still have mixed feeling
about the camping but the freedom of being totally naked outdoors never loses
its appeal. We also enjoy nudity at
home.” – Monica, Chino Hills, California, http://aanr.com/first-time-nudist-experience&page=30
“When a woman is a victim of a sexual crime, the first
question some ask is, ‘What was she wearing?’
Women are taught that it’s their fault when men ‘can’t control’
themselves . . . and it’s their responsibility to keep themselves safe through
modesty. . . Modesty rules and laws actually condone sexual harassment and
violence by focusing on the victim’s behavior instead of the perpetrator. Rather than prevent or punish violent or
criminal behavior, all they do is stifle women’s freedom and sexuality.” - Felicity,
