QUOTES 5/16/2020

“Deciding to be naked — whether you let others see you or not — is an empowering decision precisely because it involves vulnerability.  Taking off your clothes means facing down your own body, and while not everyone finds that to be a confidence-booster, the very act of confronting yourself can be liberating.” – Amanda Chatel, https://mic.com/articles/112782/there-s-good-news-for-people-who-just-love-being-naked#.mlUb5H8iv

“Naturism is the antithesis of pornography.  Non-acceptance and repression of nudity fuels pornography by teaching that any form and degree of nudity is inherently sexual and pornographic. . . The repression of healthy female nudity fuels pornography, naturism breaks the power of pornography over women.” - https://thoughtfulnaturist.wordpress.com/2016/01/19/31-ideas-in-support-of-naturism/

“Was Nudity Common and Accepted By God in New Testament Times?  Absolutely yes!  I’ll skip quickly through some truths related to this:  Christ never wore temple garments even though a temple existed when he was alive.  He was baptized nude, was crucified nude (Matthew 27:35, Luke 23:34), and was resurrected nude (John 20: 5-15).  The apostle Peter fished nude (as did probably all the other apostles) (John 21:7).  The apostle Paul (along with Barnabas) ran nude among the people witnessing of Christ (Acts 14:14-18).  The disciples put their clothes on the ass for Jesus to ride and then the multitude spread their garments before Christ as he entered Jerusalem (they had no underwear back then) (Matthew 21: 7-8).  Christ himself took off his clothes to perform the washing of feet, one of His most sacred ordinances (John 13: 4-5).  When Christ was resurrected, his clothing remained in the tomb; perhaps that’s why Mary didn’t recognize him at first thinking he was the gardener (who normally worked without clothes) (John 20: 5-15).  Being clothed (not nude) was not required for those inheriting the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6: 9-10).  In fact, those who believe in Christ were expressly warned against fancy adornment (clothing) (1 Peter 3:3-4).  And John says that the fine linen, clean and white, in the Celestial world represents not actual clothing, but the righteousness of the saints (Revelations 19:08).” - Kensunwalker
